DAY 2 DAY ACTIVITIES
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to Arusha Ngarasero Mountain Lodge. Settle into your accommodation, ready to start your safari journey proper in the morning.
After breakfast, you go on a walking tour in farming town Mto wa Mbu with picnic lunch. This village is unique in Tanzania since it is home to over 120 different tribes from across Africa and forms a colorful mix of customs. Your walking guide will take you to rice and banana plantations, a local beer factory, a school, and a carving factory. Discover the traditional way of life of the villagers. Continue to Lake Manyara National Park, which is only a few minutes’ drives from Mto wa Mbu. Lake Manyara is known for its huge soda lake filled with pink-hued flamingos, a large population of baboons, incredible birdlife and breathtaking views. You can see giraffes, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, zebras, flamingos, and if you are lucky you spot a tree-climbing lion. In the late afternoon, you drive to Escarpment Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Depart this morning after breakfast to Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch. This part is famous for the abundance of lions and leopards that can usually be seen quite easily. Game viewing in this central area is spectacular all year round. Enjoy the views of endless plains and stunning wildlife like cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hippos, ostrich, aardvark, pangolin and many more. Dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti Serena Lodge.
After an early breakfast, depart with picnic lunch, game drive en route to Ngorongoro/viting Maasai Village. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Lions paw Camp
After an early breakfast, depart with picnic lunch and drive to Ngorongro Crater for a game drive. Animals in the Ngorongoro crater include pride of lions, clans of hyenas, packs of jackals, crashes of hippos, dazzles of zebras, herd’s wildebeests, bulls of elephants often with incredibly long tusks because of the highly nutritious grass rich in minerals, and many more animals. It is also the best place to spot the rare black rhino. In the late afternoon, you will you will drive back to Ngorongro Lions Paw Camp for dinner and overnight.
After early breakfast, you will depart for a full day of game drive in Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch. This park has the largest concentration of elephants, often seen bathing in the Tarangire river, lots of giraffes, monkeys, impalas, and many birds. It is also one of the best places to see lions, leopards, and lions. In the late afternoon, you will drive to Tarangire Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, you drive to Arusha, arriving in time for lunch at Shanga. After lunch, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
